We came to this beautiful part of Scotland after Mel retired from the Royal Air Force. Having served in Aden, Singapore, Hongkong, Cyprus, Belize, and several bases in Britain, latterly with 202 Squadron Search & Rescue helicopters operating in Northern England and Scotland, it was time to settle down and take life a little easier! If we wanted an easy life we would not be doing B&B! We really do enjoy every minute of it, in particular meeting so many people of different nationalities and welcoming them into our home.

A feature throughout the house is Dawn's decorative folk art, adding a unique flavour to the decor. Commissions can be undertaken for items of folk art for completion in the autumn/winter months. Also in abundance is Highland Stoneware pottery. Hand crafted in the local pottery, the beautiful lamps, bowls, plates, and tableware are highly decorative, very functional and reflect Dawn's creativity. Dawn also works as an artist in the local Highland Stoneware pottery.

We are part of the Green Tourism Business Scheme with the aim of significantly reducing our business’s impact on the environment. Our initial “grading inspection” has earned us the Silver Award in the scheme. We intend to consolidate on that but without compromising the level of comfort and service we provide for our guests.
